A Spotify playlist can hold hundreds of songs. Here is how to save them as MP3 files with Spot Downloader, on any device, in a few minutes.

  • In the Spotify app: open the playlist, tap ⋯ (or the Share icon) and choose Share → Copy link.
  • On the desktop app: right-click the playlist and choose Share → Copy link to playlist.
  • In the web player: copy the address from your browser bar. It looks like open.spotify.com/playlist/….

The playlist has to be public. If it’s one of your private playlists, make it public in Spotify first, or copy its songs into a public playlist.

Step 2: Open it in Spot Downloader

Paste the link into the box on the playlist downloader and press Open. After a moment you see the playlist’s name, cover and every song with its artist and length.

Spotify’s own editorial playlists, such as charts and mood playlists, work the same way as playlists made by users.

Step 3: Download the songs

You have two options:

  • Single songs: press Download next to any song.
  • The whole playlist: press Download all. Songs are saved one after another, in the playlist’s order, each as its own MP3 file.

The first time, your browser may ask whether this site may download multiple files. Choose Allow, otherwise only the first song is saved.

The daily limit

To keep the service free and fast, each visitor can download 50 songs a day. The number left is shown above the song list.

For bigger playlists, download 50 today and come back tomorrow: open the same playlist and press Download the rest. Songs you already saved in this browser session are skipped.

Where the songs end up

Every song lands in your browser’s Downloads folder as “Artist - Title.mp3” with the album cover embedded. Our guide to where downloaded songs are saved shows how to add them to your music app on each device.

Troubleshooting

“That Spotify item wasn’t found”

The playlist is private or was deleted. Open the link in Spotify’s web player while logged out to check.

Download all stopped part-way

You reached the daily limit, or your browser blocked further downloads. Allow multiple downloads for this site and press Download the rest.

A song shows “Try again”

That song couldn’t be prepared right now. Press Try again later; the rest of the playlist isn’t affected.
