How to download a Spotify song

The same four steps work on phones, tablets and computers.

  1. Step 1: Find the song or copy its link

    Type a song, artist or album into the box, or in Spotify open the song, playlist or album, tap Share and choose Copy link.

  2. Step 2: Paste it into Spot Downloader

    Paste the link (or your search words) into the box at the top of this page and press Search or Open.

  3. Step 3: Pick your songs

    Press Download next to any song, or Download all to save a whole playlist or album one song after another.

  4. Step 4: Save the MP3

How do I download a single Spotify song?
Search for the song by name, or paste its link (open.spotify.com/track/…), then press Download. The MP3 is ready in a few seconds.

Does the MP3 include the album cover?
Yes. The album cover is embedded in the file, so it shows up in your music app, car stereo and file manager.

Why does a song take a few seconds to prepare?
The first time anyone downloads a song, it is converted to MP3. That takes 5 to 10 seconds; after that, the same song downloads instantly for a few hours.

Can I paste several song links at once?
Yes. Paste two or more song links into the box (one per line or separated by spaces) and they appear as one list you can download together.

Is the downloaded song the exact Spotify version?
It is matched by title, artist and length. Very occasionally a different recording (for example a live or remastered version) is matched; if that happens, try the song’s other release.
