Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about downloading Spotify songs, playlists and albums, troubleshooting, privacy and copyright.

Using the downloader

How do I copy a link in the Spotify app?

Open the song, playlist, album or artist, tap the ⋯ or Share button and choose Copy link. On the desktop app, right-click and choose Share → Copy link.

Can I just search instead of pasting a link?

Yes. Type a song, artist or album into the box and press Search. Filter the results by songs, albums, playlists or artists.

Where are downloaded songs saved on iPhone?

Safari saves files to the Files app, in On My iPhone → Downloads (or iCloud Drive → Downloads). Play them there or add them to a music app that supports MP3 files.

Where are downloaded songs saved on Android?

Chrome and Samsung Internet save MP3 files to the Downloads folder. Most music players find them automatically.

How many songs can I download?

Up to 50 songs a day per visitor. The counter resets 24 hours after your first download of the day; the remaining number is shown above the song list.

Troubleshooting

It says the item wasn’t found. Why?

The playlist may be private, or the song, album or artist may be region-locked or removed. Check the link opens in Spotify while logged out.

A song failed to download. What should I do?

Press Try again. If it fails again, the song may not be available for conversion right now; try again later or pick another version.

Download all stopped part-way. What happened?

Either you reached today’s limit of 50 songs, or your browser blocked further downloads. Allow multiple downloads for this site when your browser asks, then press Download the rest.

I see “Too many requests”. What happened?

To keep the service fast for everyone we limit how many requests one connection can make per minute. Wait about a minute and try again.

Is it legal to download songs from Spotify?

Music is protected by copyright. Downloading for private listening is treated differently from country to country, and sharing or selling downloaded music without permission is illegal almost everywhere. Read our plain-language guide.

Is Spot Downloader affiliated with Spotify?

No. Spot Downloader is an independent service by Downloaderize and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Spotify AB.

Do you track me or sell my data?

We do not sell personal information or store your searches. Optional analytics only run if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time on the Cookie Preferences page.

How do I report a copyright problem?

Send a notice as described in our DMCA & Copyright Policy. We block the identified songs, albums or playlists from the service.
